Some beautiful music on a Saturday.

"Sanity Check" was originally an improvisation that Janne and I recorded in Kolpebo in the fall of 2007. Then we took the song home, structured it a bit, added something and sent it over to Geoff Leigh, who played the flute, and Håkan Almkvist, who added the bass, sitar, tambura and percussion. The so-called original version (which does not have the flute) ended up on "Numbers & Letters", this early edited version appeared 10 years later on "Abstract & Concrete - The Mystery Of Numbers & Letters Revealed".

Today's Joxfield track, "Dragons Fly In The Night (Single Version)" from the 2010 "Numbers & Letters" 10th anniversary celebration edition "Abstract & Concrete - The Mystery Of Numbers & Letters Revealed" (2020), both on Tin Can Music.

When Geoff Leigh agreed to contribute to the original album he did it in a really creative way, like with this tune, a "naked" arrangement from us which he filled with words and a melody which he sung, as well as made a semi-big-band arrangment where he overdubed his sax in both ensemble play and a fantastic solo. Nikke Ström's heavy bass clarified the riff.

The sole tune is a “38.52” run-through consisting of six parts of written sweet melody lines, beats, improvisations, feedback noise and even a bit of folk. It's just one track, but it is split on this release to make the listening a bit more orientated.

It was most likely recorded and put together at various occasions 2006-2015.

Original music sources were lost during a hardware breakdown so info on who’s doing what, where and when isn’t available.

When not spending his time as one half of Joxfield, Janne Yan Andersson sometimes makes music on his own using the moniker A Darkwhite In Ambience.

For the last year or two he has been working with sounds and music that could most simply be described as ambient; beautiful reflective piano lines meet dark, mystic, even threatening sounds of unknown origin.

The album is written, performed and produced by Janne Yan Andersson, curated and co-produced by Stefan Oax Ek.

In the whimsical world of Joxfield explorations it’s time to present “Convolved”, a quiet story that puts imagination to the test; what is real and what is only in our heads.

Many people say Joxfield’s music is cinematic, and this is no exception. Soundtracks to unmade films is a worn-out concept, so this is no such thing.

The album comes with a small insert showing the graphic score for Eat Caterpillar, originally titled Stigma Enigma.

When not spending his time as one half of Joxfield, Janne Yan Andersson sometimes makes music on his own. For the last year or two he has been working with some ambient stuff using the moniker A Darkwhite In Ambience.

He’s a gentle and shy person and had no specific goal with the music except the joy of making it, experiment with ambient and contemporary moods. When his dear friend Stefan Oax Ek heard it, he immediately wanted to curate Janne’s first, proper solo album, make it a proper release. And here it is – “October Mist”. It will be released on Tin Can Music on CDr and Digital Download in October 2022, of course.

This CDr is printed in only 10 copies, given away for free at the Tin Can Music release party at Discreet Music store in Gothenburg October 14th 2022 for "October Mist" and "Convolved" albums.
"Befjädrad Behornad Lustfylld Hybrid - Transition Version" is a hybrid version of the two tracks "Befjädrad Flykt" and "Den Behornade" taken from the "Insult On The Dance Floor 2020" album. This version is previously unreleased. Thanks a lot to Malin Wättring for contribution and letting us treat/destroy her saxophone playing.
"The Tailor's Sail" is Joxfield ProjeX' homage to King Crimson's 50Teeth Anniversary 2019.
"Fridge Leftovers Come Alive" and "Loop Guru 2" occurs on Joxfield's EP "Fridge & Christmas Loop", originally recorded in Kolpebo November 2009 and postproduced at various moments 2019-2022.
Non of the album's tunes has appeared in physical release before.
