Joxfield - Fridge & Christmas Loop

This a Christmas greeting from Joxfield to those who need and wants one.
"Fridge" was a complete improvisation, words and melody and playing, all of it.
"Loop" was an improvisation coming out of a guitar loop Oax played around with on his guitar while Yan had a job releated telephone call. After the call this was what happened. Both these tracks recorded live in the kitchen at C Kolpebo, November 2009. Additional drums and remix made at C Anna December 2019.
"A Merry Jox-Mas" is a tune made of samples of bloopers and failures recorded at C Bråna and C Kolpebo 2005 and 2006. Construction made at C Anna December 2019

credits

released December 17, 2019

All music and words written and performed by Stefan Oax Ek & Janne Yan Andersson 2005 and 2006, additional drums and remix 2019

Some 14½ Years Ago

Some 14½ years ago during the first week of May 2005 Joxfield made their first recordings after 30 years hiatus (the last recording before that was made as Andersson & Ek in spring or summer 1975, a 16 minutes track called Cosmic Bananas).
The music was mainly instant compositions and improvisations and the result became a very raw and rough 2 CDR, "Dark White Morning" (printed in 20 give-away copies, now gone since long). It all was an experiment to find out weather we had any creativity within or not. We were completely exhausted after that week's emptying of creativity, but decided to continue, which we did.
Here's the first ever track we recorded May 2005
In early 2020 we will release our 23rd album, "Red White Blacke & Pale", a 55 minutes, four track album of very structured music.

Joxfield ProjeX - The Tailor's Sail - Homage to King Crimson's 50Teeth Anniversary 2019

"The Tailor's Sail" is Joxfield ProjeX' homage to King Crimson's 50Teeth Anniversary 2019.
Having heard KC in late autumn 1969 the dynamic avant-whatever duo Joxfield ProjeX were stuck to their music and still are.
This is a non-album track and there is no intention to release it elsewhere.

Joxfield ProjeX Live Exploration 3

In September the avant-whatever duo Joxfield ProjeX will get together at C Anna for some Live Exploration 3 sessions. This means training, practicing, rehearsal, discussions, creative quarels, argumentations, anything that brings the process forward with the goal to find out if we have anything we could bring into an upcoming live situation. The future may arrive.

What new music looks like

2017 was the year when Joxfield ProjeX did make some live explorations. It's not finished yet, there are still developments to do. How it will end no-one knows
2018 has so far been a very creative year working with a lot of new music in home studio enviroment. Here's a piece called "Bass to the Camp", Janne & Stefan's joined forces in a minimalistic, uptempo, danceable tune where things happens slowly, if at all.

New stuff coming up!

Wheeling and dealing with some new patterns for some possible new Joxfield ProjeX' music.
New technique and I feel like an idiot. Long time since playing the guitar and my fingers are bleeding, but wtf, sacrifices has to be done!
Let's see what Janne can get out of it when the first step is finished.
