The Global Researchers. single "Corollarium"/"The Hat"

The Global Researchers as a band constituted in 2020.

Although a new band it should be known that the members have a rich experience from other endeavors for a long number of years.

The band is engaged in stripped down electronica often combined with manipulated voices (occasionally sounding like an electronic instrument).

The number of members in the band varies but generally the members Researcher 1 and Researcher 2 take part.

In December 2020 they made an agreement with Tin Can Music to release their single "The Hat" containing the two pieces "Corollarium" and "The Hat". Corollarium has something to do with a treadmill but to prove what is very unclear at the present. The other title "The Hat" seems to refer to some dialect research, again what dialect and why remains to be further investigated.

Abstract & Concrete - The Mystery of Numbers & Letters Revealed

To be released on November 12th.

"Abstract & Concrete - The Mystery of Numbers & Letters Revealed"

A digital download 4 disc set on Tin Can Music.

"The idea of this 10th anniversary celebration, “Abstract & Concrete – The Mystery of Numbers & Letters Revealed”, came up just because of the fun of it. There is a lot of unreleased material, early Kolpebo improvisations of tunes that later developed into something vastly different. More or less composed material went through radical changes during the process, et cetera. There are also songs that never showed up on N&L, or elsewhere, for various reasons, most of them now forgotten."

Featuring Janne Yan Andersson (JA), Stefan Oax Ek (SE), Geoff Leigh (GL) (England), Judy Dyble (JD) (England), Pat Mastelotto (PM) (USA), Thomas Mera Gartz (TMG) (Sweden), Nikke Ström (NS)(Sweden), Kenji Siratori (KS)(Japan), Håkan Almkvist (HA)(Sweden), Regina Przic (RP)(France)

Joxfield - Fridge & Christmas Loop

This a Christmas greeting from Joxfield to those who need and wants one.
"Fridge" was a complete improvisation, words and melody and playing, all of it.
"Loop" was an improvisation coming out of a guitar loop Oax played around with on his guitar while Yan had a job releated telephone call. After the call this was what happened. Both these tracks recorded live in the kitchen at C Kolpebo, November 2009. Additional drums and remix made at C Anna December 2019.
"A Merry Jox-Mas" is a tune made of samples of bloopers and failures recorded at C Bråna and C Kolpebo 2005 and 2006. Construction made at C Anna December 2019

Some 14½ Years Ago

Some 14½ years ago during the first week of May 2005 Joxfield made their first recordings after 30 years hiatus (the last recording before that was made as Andersson & Ek in spring or summer 1975, a 16 minutes track called Cosmic Bananas).
The music was mainly instant compositions and improvisations and the result became a very raw and rough 2 CDR, "Dark White Morning" (printed in 20 give-away copies, now gone since long). It all was an experiment to find out weather we had any creativity within or not. We were completely exhausted after that week's emptying of creativity, but decided to continue, which we did.
Here's the first ever track we recorded May 2005
In early 2020 we will release our 23rd album, "Red White Blacke & Pale", a 55 minutes, four track album of very structured music.

“Baroque or Odd” by DJ&M – A Joxfield ProjeX Associate

“Baroque or Odd” by DJ&M – A Joxfield ProjeX Associate
In 1968 Janne & Stefan of Joxfield ProjeX had made music together for a couple of years as DJ&M, short for DonnoJanne & Maecs. Simple music just like kids do, but sometimes with an experimental touch. Even though they didn’t have any tape recorders until autumn 1969 they composed and organized albums as if it was for real. Having heard The Beatles’ self-titled “White Album” they were inspired by the concept of doing a double album, which they thus also did. Between December 1968 and January 1969, they wrote the 30 songs that became the DJ&M “virtual” double album “Baroque or Odd”. To override The Beatles DJ&M added a four track EP to the double LP. Cover art and various inserts were made in two copies, one each, as usual, but no recording. As usual. Janne had just turned 15, Stefan had four months left before his 15th birthday. Just kids.
As The Beatles’ “White Album” celebrated it’s 50th anniversary November 22 2018 the idea came up of making a constructive and creative interpretation of the 34 songs of “Baroque or Odd”. The music had been written down in a self-invented note system where you could see which note it was, but not its value. You had to memorize the specific melodies.
Sheets for 32 of the 34 songs was found in a closet. Most of the melodies were forgotten, but by reading and playing the self-invented note system various parts of the songs could be remembered, recovered and become the starting point of the interpretations of the songs. One of the songs, “Jar”, was a description of a cut-up sampled piece and this way of making music became inspiration for the two lost songs on the album.
Between late November 2018 and January 2019 recordings, mixing and masters were done. 41 tunes in 85 minutes (the four track EP became five, the last song of the album is in seven parts, all in all 41 tracks). A double LP with an EP. Some kind of progressive pop. It will at least see the light as a digital release in February 2019, 50 years after its original appearance. And then let’s see what the future brings with it…
The track presented here are actually two, back to back, “I’m Bach” (0.32) and “Friendship” (3.40), track 4 & 5 of Side B.
Enjoy!

DJ&M - THE BAROQUE OR ODD PROJECT

Inspired by The Beatles' White Album release November 1968, DJ&M (a.k.a. Donnojanne & Maecs, much later to become Joxfield ProjeX) wrote an album consisting of 30 songs, meant to be spread over 4 sides of a double LP. This was completed in February 1969.
The title of that album should be ”Baroque Or Odd”.
Of course it wasn't recorded. Having no studio or money at all and being super-amateurish 14 – 15 years old kids it was nothing to talk about. It never happened.
But, who knows, maybe a newly recorded interpretation of the whole ”Baroque Or Odd” album may show up 2019, some 50 years since the last Donnojanne & Maecs activities.
Stay tuned!
