Joxfield ProjeX - Archives EP 4 – Mystery of The Stoned Pharaoh
Joxfield
ProjeX - Archives EP 4 – Mystery of The Stoned Pharaoh
The 4th
installment in a series of 9 Joxfield ProjeX archives EP.
The tracks are edited and improved from Joxfield
ProjeX' three disc album “The Pond Intermezzo" (2006), released in an
edition of about 20 which were mostly given away.
Recorded
early summer 2006.
The first
CD of the original album had some vocals based tracks. Four of them are
presented here.
“Dr
Balanova” follows the legend of the Bulgarian doctor who claimed she and her
team had discovered some hallucinogenic substances in the body of a mummy,
substances which where thought to have been brought to Europe and Northern
Africa from South America in the 14th or 15th century.
Here the mummy goes for revenge.
“A Stone
Fell From A Palm Tree” is a homage to Keith Richard’s silliness to climb trees
and fall down.

Joxfield ProjeX - Archives EP 3 - Live At The Kolpebo Festival October 2005
Joxfield ProjeX - Archives EP 3 - Live At The Kolpebo Festival October 2005
Sneaks out of the closet today:
Joxfield ProjeX - Archives EP 3 - Live At The Kolpebo Festival October 2005
The third EP in a series of nine planned for release autumn 2013.
Recorded late at night after long days of structured recording ofwhat should become the Nothing But Sofas CDR (check Archives EPs 2 - Fivekus). There was a need to clean the heads from structures.
A simple drum machine rhythm was programmed and then they played on; Yan with one-hand keyboard bass Ray Manzarek style and Oax wild on his guitar. 100% improvisation, no overdubs.
The Kolebo Festival was the world's smalest festival, just the duo playing and a weird otter swimming and swinging around in the lake at the backstage area from the front photo. Sun E Mangs is a 10 minutes track, split into three edited parts.
