Joxfield - "Live Joxfield Vol.1" - Upcoming Release This Month

New upcoming release this month on Tin Can Music!
Joxfield - Live Joxfield Vol.1
In July 2017 Joxfield played quite different versions of the same tune “Crackle” for four days live in Bråna Dalsland. Sweden, as a conceptual project.
Here are some parts of it.
The music presented is hypnotic and beautiful with lots of stuff happening within the musical frames, an effect when city boys meet on the countryside to perform together.
They have since continued with new Joxfield music, but also developed new projects like The Global Researchers
and Etherwink & Larwott.
Joxfield is Janne Yan Andersson & Stefan Oax Ek
Limited edition of CDr will be found at Discreet Music
Streaming and digital download will occure from Tin Can Music Bandcamp.

Etherwink & Larwott review in The Quietus

Well, this little review by Jennifer Lucy Allan (March 29th, 2021) of three E&L albums in The Quietus made me very happy today
Etherwink & Larwott – Musik Från Bråna
&
Etherwink & Larwott – Musik Vid Havet
&
Etherwink & Larwott – Lagereldsmusik
(Tin Can Music)
Bought three of these CD-Rs by Etherwink & Larwott from Discreet in Gothenberg, but wish I’d bought the whole set. These capture “impressions and inspiration of things that can happen in the area of my summer cottage in Dalsland, Sweden” (Musik Från Bråna) “things that can happen around a campfire” (Lagereldsmusik) “things that can happen by the sea and its vicinity” (Musik Vid Havet). There’s also a fourth – Musik I Någon Stad, from the western central city of Gothenburg Sweden. These recordings are impressionistic and minimal in their means. I love the menacing motif and birdsong that opens Musik Från Bråna because it sounds more like an organ than a guitar; the lo-fi shoegazey feel to some of Lägereldsmusik; the heaviness to Musik Vid Havet. There’s something of an early 00s folk underground feel to it, but without the heavy psychedelic edge – moments of Jackie-O-Motherfucker or Charalambides unplugged, perhaps, but combined with something like Jon Collin’s guitar music and Poul Gernes’ organ LP. Whatever it’s reminding me of, these diversions have been second only to MBSP on the living room stereo this month.

The Global Researchers. single "Corollarium"/"The Hat"

The Global Researchers as a band constituted in 2020.

Although a new band it should be known that the members have a rich experience from other endeavors for a long number of years.

The band is engaged in stripped down electronica often combined with manipulated voices (occasionally sounding like an electronic instrument).

The number of members in the band varies but generally the members Researcher 1 and Researcher 2 take part.

In December 2020 they made an agreement with Tin Can Music to release their single "The Hat" containing the two pieces "Corollarium" and "The Hat". Corollarium has something to do with a treadmill but to prove what is very unclear at the present. The other title "The Hat" seems to refer to some dialect research, again what dialect and why remains to be further investigated.

Abstract & Concrete - The Mystery of Numbers & Letters Revealed

To be released on November 12th.

"Abstract & Concrete - The Mystery of Numbers & Letters Revealed"

A digital download 4 disc set on Tin Can Music.

"The idea of this 10th anniversary celebration, “Abstract & Concrete – The Mystery of Numbers & Letters Revealed”, came up just because of the fun of it. There is a lot of unreleased material, early Kolpebo improvisations of tunes that later developed into something vastly different. More or less composed material went through radical changes during the process, et cetera. There are also songs that never showed up on N&L, or elsewhere, for various reasons, most of them now forgotten."

Featuring Janne Yan Andersson (JA), Stefan Oax Ek (SE), Geoff Leigh (GL) (England), Judy Dyble (JD) (England), Pat Mastelotto (PM) (USA), Thomas Mera Gartz (TMG) (Sweden), Nikke Ström (NS)(Sweden), Kenji Siratori (KS)(Japan), Håkan Almkvist (HA)(Sweden), Regina Przic (RP)(France)

Joxfield on Bandcamp - Insult on the Dance Floor 2020

https://tincanmusic.bandcamp.com/album/insult-on-the-dance-floor-2020
With music still keeping some heavy rough and dark moods the intention of this album is to offer some uplifting lightness and joy to the listeners, bring them loads of swirling sounds that even might bring them up on the dance floor for some horror moves in a futuristic dance exercise. The music is as intense, electric and beautiful as ever.
